Cape Town Pelagics runs one-day (open-ocean) pelagic birding trips out of Simon’s Town. You leave the harbour at about 07h00 and return from the nutrient-rich Benguela Current waters at around 16h00. Albatrosses are the main attraction, but also expect to tick Antarctic prions, Manx and sooty shearwaters, as well as Wilson’s, storm and giant petrels.
