Getaway stayed at the Marine Guesthouse, which offers self-catering

We also stayed at the very comfortable Saxon Lodge overlooking the fishing harbour.
Unfortunately the quality of the seafood dinner did not represent good value

Café serves the best cheesecake in town … and is open for breakfasts
and light lunches. Ask at the tourism office for directions.

L’Agulhas: The L’Agulhas Tourism Office is extremely helpful and can
be contacted on phone 028-435-7185/6. We stayed in Agulhas Heights which offers
small self-catering cottages overlooking L’Agulhas. Tel 028-435-6934. Agulhas
Country Lodge is more upmarket and offers superb accomodation and extremely

If you can’t get a booking, pop into the Fynbos Restaurant in Struisbaai, which
offers a selection of light lunches and cakes.

Arniston: Arniston is full of holiday cottages for rent. We stayed at
Die Opstal, which offers self-catering and B&B. This is a very basic flatlet
towards the back of town and is not sea facing. However, a registered tour guide,
Jacoba Human, lives downstairs so if you’re after a well of information.…
