Win a dream travel job that’s not a job at all!

Getaway.co.za, in conjunction with Fair Trade in and Tourism South Africa (FTTSA) and the National Development Agency (NDA) is offering an opportunity of a lifetime to one lucky travel junkie.

We have a winner!

Hi my name is Joy-Anne Goodenough AND I JUST WON A DREAM JOB COMPETITION WITH GETAWAY AND FTTSA! Can you tell I am excited!?

I’m a writer, I love to travel and explore new places and I am seldom found without a camera in one hand. I’m also a mom to a gorgeous 12 year old boy (Raphael) and his dad is the equally gorgeous Graeme, my partner and biggest supporter. I am addicted to the sea and am pretty sure I was a mermaid in a former life. I am the editor of the Portfolio Travel Blog and that allows me to share my love of South Africa with readers around the world every day.

The thing I love most when travelling is meeting new people, especially inspirational people who are making a positive difference to their world – whether through art, music, or social work. People fascinate me. New places are always wonderful to explore because being somewhere different awakens my inner child and I get super excited about everything around me.

I cannot wait to hit the road for this Fair Trade in Tourism trip of a lifetime and hope through words and photographs to be able to share my experiences with all who read the blog!

Congratulations Joy-Anne and we look forward to reading your blogs!
