'I first met a leopard when I was a youngster herding goats,' says African Widllife Foundation's leopard researcher Nakedi Maputla, who's now camera trapping the big cats in Kruger National Park. 'When I see a leopard in a photo, I feel like a kid. I have levels of excitement. The first one is finding the cameras and checking if they're intact, then seeing if the battery worked and that there are pictures. A leopard shot is the ultimate – a big high five.'
