If you’re planning to take your dog for a walk in a park or a reserve, remember to check beforehand whether or not you need a dog-walking permit for the area you’d like to visit.
The Wild card offers various options that will allow you to walk your dogs in these areas. A limited entrance card is the cheaper option that allows you into certain areas, but only 12 entries for the whole year. Each person will count as an entry and you will need to pay an additional R55 for a dog permit.
A Cape cluster card, for example, is R245 and person specific. This grants you unlimited access into the Western and Eastern Cape areas for the whole 12 months. This package also includes a permit to walk two dogs. Please note that Noordhoek beach falls under the Table Mountain National Park.
The All cluster card is for any reserve or park in South Africa. You can purchase it as an individual, couple or for the family. It ranges from R265 per person to R575 for a family. You are permitted to walk two dogs with this permit.
Check out the various options available to you on www.wildcard.co.za or www.infinityrewards.co.za. You can also call the Wild card call centre for general enquiries on 086-123-4002.
